The ONE Fight Night 9 program, scheduled for April 21, is made public by ONE Championship.

On April 21, ONE will deliver the popular Lumpinee Boxing Stadium’s Amazon Prime Video series. The Asia-based promotion made the matches taking place in Thailand public less than a month before showtime. In addition to the main event world title fight, there will be four Muay Thai bouts and six mixed martial arts contests.

ONE shared their fight schedule on Instagram along with the following caption:

“Your first look at the ONE Fight Night 9 bout card, headlined by the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title showdown between reigning champ Nong-O and British star Jonathan Haggerty 🤩 Who you got? @nongogaiyanghadao @jhaggerty_”

Jonathan Haggerty will be making his bantamweight debut in the main event of ONE Fight Night 9. The current Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama, who is 10-0 under the ONE brand, will square off against “The General.”

In the co-main event, Turkey’s own Halil Amir is set to take on Switzerland’s Maurice Abevi in a lightweight MMA clash that’s sure to get your heart racing. These two warriors are ready to lay it all on the line and show off their skills in the ring.

Halil Amir will attempt to keep his perfect record in the co-main event after a strong promotional start in September 2022. Amir must beat fellow undefeated fighter Maurice Abevi, who is competing for the first time on the international ONE Championship stage. One of them might emerge as a potential championship contender after the lightweight matchup.

The April 21 fight card is packing a punch with some seriously exciting matchups! Brace yourself for a nail-biting strawweight MMA battle that’s sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, as Bokang Masunyane and Hiroba Minowa go head-to-head in a high-stakes showdown. But wait, there’s more! The legendary Jhanlo Mark Sangiao is making his comeback, ready to show off his unbeatable skills. And if that’s not enough to get you pumped, prepare for an epic fight between Black Panther and Mark Smith. This card is stacked with thrilling matchups that are not to be missed!

The ONE Fight Night 9 main event is going to be an absolute barn burner! When Jonathan Haggerty and Nong-O Hama step into the circle, you know you’re in for a treat. Haggerty is an unstoppable force, with a heart of a lion and the skills to back it up. Meanwhile, Nong-O is a fundamental nightmare, able to take out anyone in the bantamweight division with ease.

But don’t count Haggerty out just yet! As a former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion, he’s got the tools to pull off an upset and take down the unbeatable Nong-O. Plus, by moving up to bantamweight, he’s avoiding a brutal weight cut and coming in strong.

There are some incredible matchups set to take place at ONE Fight Night 9, including a lightweight MMA clash between Turkey’s Halil Amir and Switzerland’s Maurice Abevi. Amir, who stunned the crowd with a second-round knockout win over Timofey Nastyukhin last September, will be looking to build on that momentum and climb the lightweight rankings. Meanwhile, Abevi is a newcomer to the ONE scene, with an impressive 6-0 pro record and a mix of knockout and submission wins.

China’s Meng Bo, one of ONE’s top female mixed martial artists, will be taking on Brazil’s Dayane Cardoso in a strawweight clash. The winner of this fight could potentially earn the opportunity to face off against long-reigning strawweight MMA champion Xiong Jingnan.

South Africa’s Bokang Masunyane and Japan’s Hiroba Minowa will be facing off in a high stakes strawweight MMA clash, while Filipino atomweight MMA contender Denice Zamboanga takes on Brazil’s Julie Mezabarba.

Make no mistake, this fight is going to be one for the ages. Can Haggerty pull off the impossible and take down Nong-O? Or will the Thai superstar prove to be too much to handle?
